Continuing the dialogue.....
Sister Calling My Name

Dear Friend,

As a theater ministry, Acacia seeks to offer high quality theater, which affords the opportunity to view one's life in relationship to the fullness of God's truth. We pray that our shows offer an occasion for thanksgiving, growth, enjoyment and understanding. Without detracting from the theater experience which we hope you enjoyed; and obviously without foreknowledge of topics dealt with in the "Talk Back", we would like to continue the dialogue by sharing some of the thoughts that the board of directors discussed after reading this play.

And Jesus said to them, "Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast brought perfect praise'?" (Matthew 21:16)

Lindsey's noises of joy and delight and love for God (not even in words) are deep from within her spirit. They are moving and inspirational. When Anne and Lindsey both kneel down and praise God and are awash in the light from God's throne, it is an awesome moment.

There is power in love. There is power in obedience to God. There is power in prayer.

Through the images of the character's memories, we see that as Anne matures, her prayer life increases resulting in an opening for God's power to impact and transform not only Lindsey, but Michael as well.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any avail, but faith working through love. (Galatians 5:6)
God is a God of miracles. God is a God of faith. God is a God of hope.

With God, no situation is hopeless and we are never without God. God will never leave us and Jesus continues to be our intercessor and advocate with God the Father.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him. (1 John 5:14, 15)

We exhort and encourage you to take Lindsey's example to heart by worshiping and praising God with child-like faith. We pray that you will become like Anne and bring every situation to God in prayer as the first course of action instead of seeing God as a last resort. We hope that your mind will be transformed by the Word so that, like Michael, you recognize that God is “indeed the source from which all blessings flow.”

Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. (1 Corinthians 8:1b)

Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:8a)

Sincerely,

ACACIA THEATRE COMPANY, INC.
Board of Directors

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works. (Hebrews 10:24)
