Continuing the dialogue.....
Summer Sojourns
Dear Friend,
As a theater ministry, Acacia seeks to offer high quality theater, which affords the opportunity to view one's life in relationship to the fullness of God's truth. We pray that our shows offer an occasion for thanksgiving, growth, enjoyment and understanding. Without detracting from the theater experience, which we hope you enjoyed, and obviously without foreknowledge of topics dealt with in the "Talk Back," we would like to continue the dialogue by sharing some of the thoughts that the board of directors discussed after reading this play.
"COMMUNICATION" is one of the themes of tonight's show. Does God get twelve minutes a day with you? Do you spend that much time telling others about your abundant life in Him? Do any of us spend enough time?
Time is a gift from God. There always seems to be enough time to squeeze in other things. Why is it that God always seems to come up short on our schedule? In part there is a battle going on, and battles are never easy, and battles are always time consuming. However time is a tool, and communication is essential to victory.
Aside from being created in the image of God, communication, intricate and intimate communication is what sets us apart from the rest of His creation. That is what He made man and woman for: fellowship with Him. It is what He seeks from us still today. It is why he wants us to pass the word on to others... he loves us. He loves them!
We are admonished, "In all your ways acknowledge Him." (Proverbs 3:6) This is an excellent way to communicate HIM to others.
Go home tonight, get alone, spend twelve minutes with Him. "The prayer of the upright is His delight." (Proverbs 15:8)
Sincerely,
Board of Directors
